Day 1:  Arrival LuangPrabang

By flight to LuangPrabang, meet Lao guide at the airport and transfer to hotel after check in hotel walking tour around town to discover the world heritage town before shopping at the night market on the main road.

Day 2: LuangPrabang Cycling To Kuang Si waterfall

After breakfast, we cycle to Kuangsi waterfall, on the way visit villages, see the local people work in the rice fields and local activities. After 30 km riding enjoy swimming at the waterfall then we have lunch at the local restaurant. After swimming and lunch we cycle back to town.,,Luangprabang is the oldest city in Laos, and before the 16th century it was the capital city of the land of million elephants (Laos). The town is a beautifully preserved and in 1995 it was added to UNESCO`s World heritage list.

Day 3: LuangPrabang – Nongkiaw

We transfer out of town head north on road 13th north after 1 h driving we start riding through the villages and rice fields, riding today is easy, the road is up and down hill no big climb. Lunch pack will be brought from LuangPrabang and we stop for lunch when we feel hungry, after 80 riding we reach the junction of Pakmong where the road turns to China but we turn right and keep riding the rest of 30 km through rural villages to our destination of Nongkiaw

Muang Ngoi was controlled by the communist before 1975 and the province was under control of Pathet Lao (Lao communist). During Vietnam War, people in this area hid in the caves in the day times and worked at night because of continuous bombing during the secret war (Vietnam War) land mines remain in the area.

Day 4: Viengkham – Viengthong

After breakfast we transfer further east, to the top or Viengkham district to start riding, the riding today is harder but the road is very quiet, we ride through the villages at the country side of Laos, the living condition of people in this area is still poor and very basic, the first climb is about 19 km from town (town: 538 m, peak: 1265 m above sea level)   after the top is about 18 km almost descent, there are two big climbs today and the others are shorter hills. Lunch pack will be prepared by our guide and we stop by the road when we feel hungry, after the last climb of 17 km we cycle the last descent to the town, where we stay overnight. , After arrival in Vieng Thong, freshen up before walking to nearby hot springs before exploring the small town set on the Nam Khan River and largely inhabited by a collection of hill tribes particularly Hmong and "lowland" Lao, dinner at the small town's only restaurant and overnight at simple guesthouse.

Day 5: Viengthong – Namnern

Rising early from the noise at sunrise from the hilltribe market directly in front of our guesthouse. After browsing the market, we'll begin biking after breakfast, a beautiful section on the way to Namneun. Today we ride National route No 1c between Vieng Thong and Namneun passing through the beautiful jungle and forest scenery of two National Parks with lush green mountains over three passes, there are some tigers but we have never met them on the way except the local people meet them in the deep forest far away from people.,After departing Vieng Thong, cycling on flats until reaching our first challenge, a 2,400 foot climb (that we can drive up), before descending to a winding river valley road, we turn right at the junction to Xamnua province and ride the last long downhill to Namneun we stay overnight.

Day 6: Namnern – Muangkham

After breakfast at the local restaurant we cycle through the hill tribe villages and high mountains, there are many big climbs, lunch will be brought from the town we stay last night and we stop by the road when we hungry.

Day 7: Muangkham - Phonsavan

Breakfast today at the local and we cycle to Phonsavan, the road today is less steep compare to the last days, if we cycle faster we would have lunch in Phonsavan, we would arrive Phonsavan in the afternoon, after check in hotel free to relax at your hotel or discover a small town by foot or bike, I recommend visit the UXO information center to see all information about secret war in Laos during Indochina war.

After lunch, we drive out of town for 8 km to see the plain of jars. The history of the stone jars remain a mystery today, there are more than 60 sites, scattered in different group all across the plateau. Only three groups have been surveyed and assigned registration. The other groups have not yet been surveyed because the locations are covered with thick bushes and contaminated by many remaining UXOs (Unexploded ordinances) leftover from the Indo-China war. The highest jar is more than 3 meters. There are several difference theories as to the purpose of the jars, which are estimated to be 2500 – 3000 years old. According to local legend, King Khoun Chuang had them constructed in order to store wine for the big celebration of his victory in the 6th century. ,Phonsavanh used to be the battled field between the communist government and anti-communist government in 1964 – 1973.

Day 8: Phonsavan – Phoukhoun

After breakfast we start riding from Phonsavang on road No. 7 heading to Phoukhoun, riding from hotel to Nongtang to road is gentle, some short hills, we pass Nongtang to the top and easy long downhill to the bottom, we stop for lunch at local restaurant. After lunch optional short transfer through the big climb and ride the rest to a small town of Phoukhoun where the road turn to LuangPrabang and Vientiane.

Day 9: Phoukhoun –Vangvieng

After breakfast we drive on the road 7 back to the junction of Phoukhoun town, we start cycle from the junction to Kasi, take a short break before riding further to our destination of Vangvieng where we stay overnight. Dinner by own tonight.

Day 10: Vangvieng  -  Thalat

We have a long ride today and the heat may be the factor so we will want to leave early. We continue along the route 13 and stop for refreshment every 20 or 25 km. The rest of the morning is along undulating roads to Hinherb village. After 69 km we reach a long bridge, we stop for lunch in a restaurant. The afternoon ride is along fast flat roads. After 83 km, we turn left at a main junction of Phonhong town. After 15 km of riding along the flat road and takes, us into the town of Thalat near the NamNgum dam. We stay in Napakuang resort and have dinner at our resort.

Altitude: Vangvieng = 280 m. Thalat 190 m

Day 11: Thalat -   Vientiane

We ride out of Thalat pass the NamNgum dam, we have one sharp hill in the morning then it is all fairly flat, we stop for lunch in a local restaurant when we feel like it. Riding today there are more traffic so please remember to keep riding on right side all the time and we regroup before getting into town and then we cycling to hotel.

Vientiane was the capital city of Laos from 1560, when the country was divided into tree kingdoms, then lost its independent after Siam (Thailand) invasion in late 18th century, the city remained empty until the end of the 19th century. It began to be resettled again little by little. Arrival Vieniane and check in your hotel.

Altitude:  Thalat = 190 m. Vientiane = 180 m
